How to stay motivated when you lost your job

A lot of people lost their jobs because of the coronavirus, everything got to be shut down and some people work from home.

What are you going to do when you lost your job? Is it the end and that’s it? Is this something you should be worried about?

Don’t panic if you lost your job because there is plenty of opportunities you can do to motivate yourself, you can learn a new skill, spend some time learning more things, do something productive and change your habits.

A lot of people think when they lost their jobs, they worry, they think it’s the end of the world and they don’t see opportunities.

They don’t vision themselves about what they’re going to do. They think their job gives them security and income.

The job you work, you get paid by the time. The time you start and the time you finished work.

Employees mindset will be getting a job and work for money, entrepreneurs see opportunity when things went wrong and get it fixed.

There is a difference between employees and entrepreneurs. A lot of employees when they lost their jobs, they think that’s it, not getting paid and not going to work.

They stop because they think it’s the end, they don’t see what they can do to keep going even if they’re not working. They just do nothing, not take any actions and they don’t have a goal to set.

They expect everything is easy but nothing is easy in life, you got to put some work into it.

Entrepreneurs continue to learn and keep moving forward, no matter what condition it is, they never stop.

When you lost your job, it is time for you to step out of your comfort zone, get out there and take actions and responsibilities. Don’t just sit around there and not take any actions, you should be proactive and at least learn something new. You should learn a skill and change your habits. Motivation is not some kind of magical solution, it requires hard work is to keep you going.

Motivating yourself

If you lost your job, you can learn a skill that can help you stay motivated, keep you going and keep you busy.

If you want to be successful, you got to keep yourself busy all the time.

When you got nothing to do, find something to do that can help you with your goals.

Remember, your motivation comes from influences, so you need to find something that can influence you that keep you motivated.

If you want something, you got to motivate yourself. It’s going to be hard to stay motivated because there are barriers that can stop you, that can make you lose motivation but don’t let that stop you.

Everyone needs the motivation to do something that can achieve their goals. Motivating yourself is the best for you because it makes you keen to do something, you’re more enthusiastic and inspired. When your motivated, you have a goal to reach.

Take actions towards your goals 

It doesn’t matter what situation we are in, there are no excuses that can stop us from taking actions towards your goals.

Your motivation comes from you, not from anyone because other people can’t motivate you, they can only inspire you to do it and you got to motivate yourself to take the action.

To take action towards your goals:

  2. Believe in yourself
  3. Get out of your comfort zone
  4. Stay motivated
  5. Watch some motivational videos
  6. Get inspired
  7. Be proactive
  8. No excuses
  9. Push yourself
  10. Change your daily habits
You got to jump over the gap from your current situation to your goals. Your current situation won’t do you any good for your goals, it won’t make you rich, it won’t give you motivation, it won’t give you the solution to achieve your goals and it keeps you there. Your comfort zone is to drag you down, stop you from getting to your goals.
Every step you take, there are obstacles and barriers that make you not want to take any further. Life is hard but you got to get over it, you got to fight for it and face the challenges. It’s going to be hard and stressful but you got to deal with it.

Don’t let anything to stop us from getting to our goals 

No matter what situation we are in right now, there are no excuses that can stop us from pursuing our dreams. At the moment now, it is like a war because we are trying to fight with the coronavirus and we should win this war. People panic about the coronavirus affecting the public to stop what their doing. People losing jobs, losing money, no income coming to their banks and people are losing everything. Don’t let that stop you from doing something that you want to achieve.

What stops you is fear because we scared of losing everything we want to accomplish.

We want to get to our goals so we can afford the things that we need for living.

You need money for living right? Yes, you need money for bills, rent, gas and electricity.

People scared of losing money is because they’re afraid that they can’t afford to pay their bills. The job they work doesn’t pay them enough especially if they got kids, they won’t even have enough to save.

You know, in this situation right now is very difficult, everyone is suffering and worried about their loves ones.

Do not be afraid because we can fight this virus and continue to work on our goals to success. You want to keep going and growing until you get there.

Don’t worry about the situation we are in right now because that’s not going to stop us.

Our main focus is on our goals. You got to stay motivated at all the time. If you’re having a hard time right now, remember to focus on your goals and don’t let anything stop you. You got to keep taking actions, stay proactive and you will get there eventually.

I felt encouraged reading your blog, you really have to catch your breath and move on, now we are confined but healthy, we are going to take advantage of the networks and the internet to do other things, maybe we have had to leave our job, but we are healthy, we have to see What if we have, I would list all my skills and I would put myself at the service of my community, that they know that they can count on me to, sew, clean, tell stories, entertain, care for the elderly, etc … the most important thing is the greatest wealth: the Health

  3. Staying down after a job disappointment is really bad and can as well contribute negatively to our health and in some cases, make us lose the drive to achieve to strive for excellence. I really like this post sharing hope and the reason we all should find a reason go to live rather than just dying ordinarily.

  4. Hey Gordon; Motivation is the key factor for those who lose jobs during this crisis. In many cases things are more serious than it look from outside. 

    Imagine, a family of four living in a rent house or apartment, who earns minimum wage and has now lose the both adult lose their Job’s It will take strong motivation to keep this family in their sound mind. No one knows how long the virus will be around haunting people,forcing them to sty at home.

But you’re right, it’s when we’re out of our comfort zone where we really become creative, where we become grateful and do big things for our present, our family and our future.     In addition to all of the other recommendations from you, it is essential to keep moving forward, knowing this will pass. I think this is a great time to reflect on what we have to be thankful about and stop focusing on what we don’t have.
