Dealing loneliness in isolation

How to deal with loneliness in isolation. A lot of people are stuck at home, can’t go out and can’t see their friends because of the coronavirus.

Everyone should be in quarantine until the coronavirus is over. We don’t know when is it going to be over.

In this situation right now, it is time for you to step out of your comfort zone and be more proactive. You should be taking actions to get to your goals while you’re at home, not being stuck at home and watch TV or play computer games.

There is nothing wrong with that but you got to know your limit.

A lot of people think being isolated is like being in prison, can’t go out and can’t see friends. Staying at home you can at least do something productive like starting an online business, writing blogs and learn a skill. You got to deal with loneliness while you’re at home on your own and spend some time to be proactive.

When you’re in prison, you got no freedom to do the things that you really want to achieve.

Get over it and start now

While you’re at home in isolation, you should spend some time learning a skill and think of a new career like an online business.

If you want to achieve your goals, you should start an online business now. Don’t just wait for the best time to start, you should do it now because the more you wait, the more you want to be in your comfort zone and the more it holds you back.

It takes encouragement to do it but most of the time, your mind will be telling you not to do it because your mind is not used to of doing something different.

You just got to get over it and do it. People procrastinate that they can’t do it, it’s too much effort and headache because they don’t want the hassle. Life is a hassle because nothing is easy in life, you just got to get over it and think positive instead of negative.

To get over the dealing of isolation:

  1. You got to do it
  2. Change your mindset
  3. Get over it
  4. Get on with it
  5. Motivate yourself
  6. Watch some motivational videos
  7. You got to think positive
  8. Take responsibility
  9. You need encouragement
  10. Face challenges

It’s going to be hard at first because as I said, nothing is easy in life but you just got to punish yourself to go for it if you want to be successful while you’re at home.

Nothing is going to come to you but you got to make the move to do it.

There are obstacles and barriers that will stop you from succeeding, make you procrastinate and make you think “oh no, I can’t be bothered with it, it’s too much for me, I want to relax all day and not take any responsibilities” that’s how you procrastinate.

Procrastination is to make you want to stop what your doing right now, not want to take any further towards your goals, making excuses and waiting for the last minute to do it.

While you’re not working, it is the time for you to move on and get over it. You should be taking more actions, step out of your comfort zone, stop procrastinating and get on with it.
For example, you’re going to tidy your room, you said you’re going to do it today but you end up not doing it today. You said you’re going to do it tomorrow because you can’t be bothered with it, you still haven’t done it the next day and you keep making excuses that you’re going to do it next week or next month. Your room is still a mess and are you going to tidy your room next year? You see, people procrastinate for doing a task because we are so stuck up in our comfort zone that we don’t want to take responsibilities. We end up waiting for the best time to do it.

People always seem to be waiting for the last minute to do the task, most of them avoid responsibility because they can’t be bothered.

Isolating yourself

Isolating yourself in this situation we are in right now, is the best time for you to work on your business towards your goals. While you’re on isolation, you can spend your time writing blogs like what I’m doing right now. When you isolate yourself, you can focus on your blogs and work towards your goals.

What to avoid while you’re working from home in isolation:

  1. Avoid distraction
  2. Avoid your comfort zone
  3. Avoid procrastination
  4. Avoid bad habits

These are the things to avoid when you’re working from home because they can distract you from your work.

Always good to isolate yourself when you’re working from home so you don’t get distracted by others around you. You should work somewhere quiet like in the office or your bedroom. It’s very easy to get distracted when you try to focus on your work because the distractions like your phone, other people talking or someone is ringing you, your mind will lose focus and you get distracted.

Dealing with isolation while your setting goals

I know being stuck at home is boring but you got to deal with it because there’s nothing we can do. People are dying from the coronavirus and we got to stay strong to fight this virus.

It is like a war right now because everyone is staying at home, people are losing jobs and people are catching the virus. You should stay focus on your goals while you’re at home, don’t let them stop you from your goals. You should fight for this virus and keep moving forward.
Remember, you should be focusing on your goals, that’s how you deal with isolation. The virus is not going to stop you from your goals, it’s your health that can stop you when you catches the virus. You should keep safe and stay at home.

You should keep going and move forward.

It might be time for you to change your career to start an online business if you want to change and move forward. It’s up to you because it’s your choice.

Not everyone wants to be an entrepreneur but if this what you want to do, you are on the right website.

I hope you enjoy my blog.

  1. Being in isolation is kind of like being behind a locked door.  You can see that door as locking you in or you can see that door as locking the evil out.  In this case it is keeping you safe from the “evil” Covid-19.  Now it’s up to you to show what kind of person you are.  If you are bored, its because you are a boring person – one who lacks imagination.  There are all KINDS of opportuntities of things to do while isolated at home.  Make a list and get on it!

  2. This is some great info, I am going to keep it bookmarked while we are all going through this social distancing period.

I have found that being at home, I still have to stay on top of myself and be my own boss, if I do not then it is really easy to let my lazy side take over which leads to isolation being even worse, because not only am I lonely, but then I am lonely in a mess. Tasks such as cleaning your room like you said, or office can end up seeming like a lot of work when they really only take a few moments!

Thanks for all the great reminders and advice!

  3. Ok Gordon. I like your positive out look on things and the motivation to keep your head in the direction. But let me give you some positive criticism. First, refrain from telling the reader that they need to do anything. Don’t come off so overpowering as you may push the reader away entirely. Nurture the reader by telling them some ways to cope with the stress of isolation. Explain to them the benefits of starting a blog site or another online business. You don’t want to introduce them to this journey in a negative way or overpowering where they feel like they are being told what to do. Don’t tell the reader that the journey will be a punishment. Not a good approach.

Be a little more compassionate for the topic at hand. Not everyone is built for catastrophic times like this. Also, try to not tell everyone to get over it. I understand what your trying to accomplish, but the truth of the matter is , this is not something to just get over. Instead explain to them how they can deal with the situation and leverage it to motivate them selves to make a change and possibly pursue an online business of some type. Keep the options open.

When you were comparing this time to war, you said “You should fight for this virus and keep moving forward.” You mean fight against the virus right?   Being stuck at home is boring and the need to just get over it because there is nothing we can do? Don’t make the reader feel weak, instead encourage them. Try taking an approach not so overbearing and playing a role of power. Instead tell them they are strong enough to get through this. Tell them that they can lead by example and show others who are not as strong how to find the courage inside themselves. Be inspiring.

Talk about the need for social distance and why it is important. Explain how to get through this time and that a good way to distract the mind is to try starting an online business. Take this  time to find themselves while being there for there family.

Encourage , encourage, encourage….  Positive actions will attract positive results.

Stay safe, wash your hands and god bless.

  8. This has been a very useful read and a very pertinent recommendation. When we’re busy with daily life we say we don’t have time to start our own online business. And now that w’re isolated we say we don’t have the energy to start an online business. So I ask myself, when will I start then? It has to be now!

  9. I was having this conversation with my daughter this morning. She’s utterly bored out of her mind but I told her that this is only temporary and that she should use this opportunity to learn something. While I’m cooped up at home, I’m using my time to research my online competition as I’m planning on starting a new website.

Thanks for the words of motivation

Now, we are forced to stay at home because of the virus. We should take this opportunity to do something good for our future.

  15. Couldn’t agree more; there are two ways to deal with the situation we find ourselves in.  We can shout yippee no work and sit of the couch and have our brains sucked out of our eyes by Netflix ( nothing against Netflix, actually quite enjoy it, but everything in moderation). Or we can make a golden opportunity investment in ourselves, our families and at the same time unlock our creative and earning potential. I know what I am choosing I wonder if all of your readers know what they are choosing?

    Thanks great post
