Stet by step to success

It takes step by step to success. You got to make the first step before you get to where you want to be, it’s going to take some time but it will soon pay off to get to where you want to be. It takes discipline to get to your goals to success. Every little step on your journey to success is a progression. Step one is the foundation of your journey to your goals, step two is the next step and you move up a step and all the way up. There are different levels of steps to get to where you want to be. Let’s say there are 10 levels, you’re in level 1 which is the beginning of the start of your journey, level 2 is the foundation and level 3 is the progression towards success. Level 10 is the highest level of success which is where you want to be.
If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you got to believe in yourself that you can do it. You got to believe that you can stay motivated and keep taking actions on your journey to success. You want to keep climbing up the ladder until you get to the top, the top is your goal to success. Some people are scared of heights that’s why their failures because they’re too scared to climb the ladder to get to the top. Climbing up the ladder is risk-taking because you can fall if you’re not careful. Your aim is to climb all the way up, no matter how dangerous is going to be and you want to get to the top.

If you want to be a successful entrepreneur, you got to work on your foundation first and learn from the bottom.

Before you start your own business, get a job first and earn some money. It doesn’t matter what job you’re getting if you get a job at McDonald’s, Tesco as a shelf stacker, work in the office as an admin.

The jobs are your first step before you start your business. You can work in the job and work on your website as a side hustle.

If you want to achieve your goals and get better you should:

  1. Keep learning
  2. Don’t stop
  3. Push yourself
  4. Get out of your comfort zone
  5. Learn more
  6. Step by step
  7. Think about climbing up the ladder
  8. Work hard
  9. Be proactive
  10. Motivation
  11. Believe in yourself
  12. Take actions

The progression towards success

This is how I see building a successful business is like building a house. You need the foundation of building a house successfully. My website at the moment is like the picture there, still working in progress. This is just an example of how building a website feels like. I’m still working on my website, I hope you’re not too critical with my work there. My work is just like the picture, still working in progress but soon will be finished and will be a house.

Your progression toward success is:

  1. Get a job
  2. Start your business
  3. Learn more
  4. Save money
  5. Make progress
  6. Get the knowledge
  7. Be humble
  8. Get to your goals
  9. Continue to learn
  10. Never stop learning even though if you’re successful
Think about where you are now and where you want to be while you’re walking up the steps. If your down the bottom, you’re at the beginning of your journey. You’re learning while you’re progressing on the steps that you’re walking on. You keep going, don’t stop until you get there and you’re still continuing to learn more. Learning and progressing never stop. Even if you’re successful, your still learning and still want to succeed.
When you’re building a business, sometimes you fail because you’re not getting enough customers. Like building a house, sometimes they fail to build a brick wall because it’s not levelled. Things can go wrong if the house you build is not in good condition, the house could collapse and demolished. You want to believe in yourself that you can do it. It’s like believing yourself that you can build the house without demolishing.

  1. Hi, Thank you for this information. I can see clearly the steps I need to take to develop an online business. It’s also pleasing to see no claims of get rich quick; there’s clearly going to be work involved and it might not be a walk in the park. The house analogy is wonderful and makes perfect sense. Perhaps some of the hype I’ve seen about getting in on the ground floor needs a rethink, as you say, it’s necessary to start with the foundations. Great post that gave me plenty to think about. Thank you.

  2. Hello Gordon,

You made a great point that it is important to get a job before trying to start a business online. You need to have a source of income because building a business is not fast. It will not start paying you at the beginning. This is not a get rich quick scam, this is building a real business.

If you built a physical business you would need:

A piece of land either that you own or rent,

    A building to work from,

A product or service to sell,

Utilities to pay the electricity for light and heat, water and internet, as well as garbage removal and more,

Property taxes if you own the land or building,

It goes on and on! There are many, many steps to build a physical business and it takes time.

It is usually several years before a business makes a profit.

The great advantage with an internet business is that we can get started for much, much less money. We don’t need to buy anything other than the website domain, web hosting and some training.

The cost to get started is much lower but it still takes time.

We must be patient and not expect to make a lot of money right away. It will be a great investment in the future but we must build it first.

  3. This article is brilliant, I like the comparison of building a business to building a house, it makes so much sense.  It really does take a long time to get a business rolling, but the only way you can fail is if you give up.  I completely agree when you said you have to believe in yourself.  There are so many talented people out there who never realise their full potential, simply because of their lack of belief in themselves.

  4. Hello, I really want to first appreciate your effort in putting this great website together and writing this article. most people would want to get involved in get rich quick schemes which are mostly scam. the steps you have provided can guide me through creating a stable business online. thank you

  5. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. You are right that building an online business( or any kind of business actually) is like building a house. We all have to remember that it will not come overnight. Even some might have those skills or this luck needed for that, overall we need years. In the end, those, who are not going to give up, and keep working hard, also with obstacles in the road( side jobs, low traffic, competition) just those can be successful. Sometimes, the line between success and failure is so tight…Or the difference could be exactly the one month you decide to continue( struggle) or decide to quit. Who can predict that? Best luck with building your “house” with patience and with the right and smart tools.

  6. Hello

Thanks for your post about building a successful business. I really get a lot out of your comparable and it’s true, like building a house, it takes time and the job must be done right in order to get the right results. My take away is the foundation must be solid when building a business or it will not amount to anything. This was great reading and will help many people to keep moving.
    Best Regard

  7. I like how you compare building a house and building a business.  It is a step by step procedure. Just like building a house, you must know your steps. You must have the proper tools and the knowledge to use the tools.  And also be willing to accept the fact that it does not happen overnight.  In my opinion, the key is also not to give up. Great motivational post.  Thanks
